Distribution of grass seed and milk analyzer machines to farmers
Makawanpur: – Hetauda Sub-metropolis has distributed milk analyzer machine to the farmers. Hari Bahadur Mahat, mayor of the Sub-metropolis, said that the seeds of ‘Jai Ghans ‘ have been distributed in all the wards of the city during the current fiscal year.
Milk analyzer machine has been provided to the milk producer cooperative of Hetauda-11. Mayor Mahat said that mustard seed and wheat seed and various vegetable seed distribution programs have been completed during this period of the current fiscal year. Similarly, the conditional grant from the federal and state governments for the construction of cow, pig and goat pockets and construction of tunnel poly house for internal resources, construction of cowsheds and manure improvement and selection of farmer groups under agricultural mechanization program will be distributed soon, said Mayor Mahat.
In order to manage the marketing of agricultural commodities, the state government and the sub-metropolitan government have invited tenders through the state government for the establishment of agricultural produce processing and wholesale market center at Hetauda-11 police station.
In order to emphasize the value ‘chain development’ of agricultural produce production, the approved programs of the current Fiscal Year are in regular operation in two places under the Fruit and Vegetable Price Chain Development Project. He said that further work related to farmer listing is being carried out for the collection of data of the agricultural sector of the city.
Free artificial insemination program of animals is being conducted regularly. Mayor Mahat said that 7 commercial farmers’ groups have been renewed and 37 new ones have been registered till Poush of the current fiscal year.
He said that there are 3 pig farms, 4 goat farms, 3 cow and buffalo farms, 3 poultry farms and 23 livestock groups.
Arrangement has been made to provide agricultural fertilizer to the farmers from the ward level by giving permission to 25 cooperatives to sell chemical fertilizer through public information for the selection of chemical fertilizer seller in the sub-metropolitan area.
