Makawanpur. Manahari Gaupalika has run a camp for the distribution of disability identity cards. Chairman Ekraj Upreti informed that the municipality has started distributing identity cards by conducting camps so that no citizen will be deprived of the services provided by the government.
He said that Gaupalika is organizing camps and distributing identity card with the objective of providing access to services to the citizens.
On the first day, the camp has been started from Manahari Gaupalika-6, Manahari-6 Balubhanjyang.
He said that identity cards were distributed to 6 people including 4 with ‘class-A’ identity and 2 with ‘class-B’ of Ward No. 6 on the first day. He said that 3-year-old Saksham Bal, 22-year-old Gobind Thing, 11-year-old Kanchhalal Ghalan and 25-year-old Setimaya Tamang of Ward No. 6 were given ‘A’ class identity cards and 8-year-old Kumari Tamang and 52-year-old Man Bahadur BK were given ‘B’ class identity cards. .
According to the village municipality, the camp has been organized to guarantee the local work government for those who are deprived of various services due to lack of identity card despite being disabled for a long time.
He also mentioned, Gaupalika will conduct camps for the people of wards 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Manahari Hospital on Tuesday and for the citizens of wards 1 to 5 at Manhari-3 Handikhola Health Center on Wednesday.
