Makawanpur: – A special Lhochhar cultural program will be held at Padampokhari of Makawanpur on the occasion of the 2857th Long Lho (Gai Barg) Sonam Lhochhar of the Tamang community.

It has been informed that the cultural program is to be held at Hetauda 13, Thulothali, Gumbadanda on Phalgun-3.

The cultural program will have special performances of costumes, culture, tamang culture and local artists, said Ayman Moktan, coordinator of the program. He said that local and national artists will perform in the program.

According to him, artists including Bishwa Dong, Tikha Bomjan, Sunita Rumba, Sushil Thing and Choreographer Magna Magar will perform at the program.

Lama said that the program is used to be organized every year with the objective to preserve the Tamang culture. Leader of the Congress Bagmati Pradesh Parliamentary Party and Makawanpur President Indra Bahadur Baniya will be the chief guest in the program.

The program is said to be started at 2 Pm and will continue till 10 pm, said program coordinator Mokan. There will be also well management of the police personnel and function committee in order to maintain peace and security.
