In Bagmati, 73 percent have been vaccinated against corona

Makawanpur: – In order to prevent the transmission of Corona Virus (Covid-19), the Government of Nepal has expedited the work of vaccinating to the target group of people brought from abroad.

According to the state health directorate, out of the total 75,870 people targeted in the first phase in Bagmati, more than 73 percent have already been vaccinated and the rest are going to be vaccinated soon.

Ramesh Prasad Adhikari, health director at the state health directorate, said that more than 73 percent of the target group, including health workers, women health volunteers, garbage collectors and security personnel, and airport security personnel, have been vaccinated within nine days.

Out of the vaccinated, while 324 had a general fever and two were seriously ill, but their health has been improved now’ he said, adding that there is no danger from the vaccine.

Similarly, 98.25 percent of those infected with Covid-19 in the state have been recovered.  Even though a total of 149,487 people have been confirmed to be infected with Covid, 1, 86,875 have been recovered and returned to the daily life and the remaining 1,615 are being treated, according to the directorate.

The number of deaths due to corona infection in the state is said to be 996 so far.

In the current fiscal year 077/78, the state health directorate has conducted awareness programs to prevent the spread of reproductive health services, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and kidney diseases, HIV / AIDS, adolescent friendly health services, expansion of abortion services and health for all and Work of treatment has been given priority.
