Makawanpur: – Bakaiya Rural Municipality of Makawanpur is to be declared as Child-friendly local government.

The 72nd Board Meeting of the District Coordination Committee, Makawanpur, has decided to allow the municipality to be declared child-friendly village municipalities.

Chairman of Bakaiya Village Municipality Damodar Khanal informed that there is a program to declare the village municipality as child friendly local level by organizing a program in the premises of the village municipality on Magh-29.

The meeting was chaired by Raghunath Khulal, Chief of District Coordination Committee, Makawanpur. The declaration has been allowed on the basis of the report that all the wards of the village municipality and the village municipality have met the prescribed indicators and criteria for the local level.

The district coordination committee has requested the village municipality to continue the child-friendly strategic plan and has given permission to declare the village municipality as child-friendly local government based on the progress made so far.
