Health Post building being constructed in Khairang

Makawanpur: – . Construction of a health post building at a cost of Rs. 70 million has started in Khairang of remote Raksirang village municipality.

Construction of the building has been started with the assistance of National Reconstruction Authority District Project Implementation Unit (Building)

On Tuesday, Bagmati State Assembly member Sant Chepang and Raksirang village chairman Raj Kumar Malla jointly laid the foundation stone of the building.

Mainapokhari Construction of Lalitpur has won the contract to complete the construction within a year and a half. Village Municipality Chairman Raj Kumar Malla informed that 21 rooms will be constructed on the ground floor of the two-storey building.

On the upper floor, there will be a residential flat that can accommodate 4 families. Chairman Malla informed that about 10,000 people including Raksirang Ward Nos. 9 and 4, some areas of Kailash Municipality and some areas of Benighat Rorang Municipality of Dhading will get health facilities from the health post.

Also, he expressed his commitment to provide ambulance after the construction of the health post.

He also said that efforts will be made to transform the health post into a hospital and he has been working with the concerned bodies so that the citizens of remote areas do not have to be deprived of health services.

He informed that the people are compelled to visit Manahari, Bharatpur, Hetauda or Kathmandu for general treatment and it will end after the construction of well-equipped health post.

Bishnu Aryal of the National Reconstruction Authority’s District Project Implementation Unit (Building) said that the health post building would be completed before the schedule.
