Makawanpur: – The Rural Municipality has expedited the collection of data of landless people as well as un-managed settlers living across the Manahari Rural Municipality. Municipality has started of collecting data of those in order to solve their problems in all 9 wards of the administration.

Keshav Devkota, central member of the Land Management Commission, has facilitated the land management facilitation committee formed at the ward and village level on Monday on how to solve the problem.

Necessary discussions were held on the problems of landless Dalits, landless settlers and unorganized settlers through the orientation program in the presence of people’s representatives, political parties, data collectors and others. And a solution will be found soon, said village chairman Ekraj Upreti.

A land management branch has also been established in the office of the village municipality. The process of land survey and mapping has started from the same unit.

Village Municipality Chairman Upreti said that the details of landless people and unmanaged settlers in the village municipality will be completed by mid-July of the current fiscal year 077/78 BS. According to Upreti, the same committee will provide land’s paper to the landless.
