Makawanpur: – Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Dormani Paudel has said that the martyrs have sacrificed their lives to guarantee the fundamental rights of the people and strengthen democracy.

Addressing a program organized by the Martyrs ‘Memorial Development Committee’ in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 11 on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day on Friday, Chief Minister Paudel expressed his words.

Stating that the political system in the country has changed and reached up to republic only because martyr’s sacrifice, he said that the federal government and the state government would formulate a separate policy for the process of declaring martyrs.

He said that the major parties should be accountable to the people and the nation instead of debating with each other to provide lasting peace in the nation and give confidence to the people towards the government.
