Kathmandu. The government has discriminated in the distribution of corona vaccine to the police who are at the forefront of the corona epidemic by taking risks. The government has not even prepared a list of how and when to vaccinate the police, even though they have been deployed on the front line like health workers.

The government has started a vaccination campaign from Wednesday saying that the first phase of vaccination will be given to the health workers. There is no plan to vaccinate the front line police in terms of operations. There is frustration among the police who are on duty at risk as the government has not decided about the vaccination for the police.

However, the government has not even given Covid security allowance to the police deployed during the Corona epidemic. The non-distribution of corona vaccine to those working 24 hours a day in high-risk areas has increased the risk for the employees. With the opening of the lock down, Nepal Police has been deployed in crowded and risky areas. More than 7,000 Nepal Police personnel have been infected with corona.
