Kathmandu: – Police have arrested a woman who had killed her own husband with the help of another man, after seven years. His wife Purnalakshmi Tamang, who was involved in the murder of Sanokaji Tamang of Matatirtha in Kathmandu, has been arrested, according to the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police.

Sanokaji, 60, of Matatirtha VDC-6 was killed by Bishal Tamang of Ward No. 9 and Purnalakshmi on Poush of 2070 BS.

Bishal and Purnalakshmi were in an extramarital affair. A dispute arose after Sanokaji met them in an abusive situation on 21-Poush of 2070 and the court has proved that they killed Sanokaji after the dispute.

Purnalakshmi, 55, was sentenced to three months and 27 days in jail by the Patan High Court in 074 BS.

Purna Laxmi, who was arrested from Kuleshwor in Kathmandu, will be sent to jail with the permission of the court, police said.

Bishal Tamang, who ran to Makawanpurgadhi after the murder, was arrested by a team of the Metropolitan Police last Mangsir. The court has sentenced him to 18 years and 3 months imprisonment.
