Makawanpur. Hetauda Sub-metropolis has handed over an artificial leg to Indra Bahadur Basnet, a resident of Basamadi, Hetauda-3.

The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has stated that the prosthetic legs have been distributed for the purpose of making it easier for him to walk easily as he has lost one leg from their knees for years. Mayor of the sub-metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat handed over the prosthetic leg to Basnet.

Along with Basnet, the sub-metropolis has been distributing wheelchairs, crutches and white sticks to the people with disabilities.

Mayor Mahat said that people with disabilities who can work on their own but those with disabilities who are unable to work will be miserable and poor and the government has been providing assistance to them.
