Headmaster dismissed by the Gaupalika
Makawanpur: – Sher Bahadur Rana, a contract teacher and headmaster of ‘Suryodaya Basic School’ at Satle in Bagmati Gaupalika Ward No. 4 of Makawanpur, has been dismissed by the Gaupalika.
Ramesh Bidari, head of the education department of the village municipality, said that Rana was dismissed from the post saying that he had been absent from school for a long time without any notice and did not get a satisfactory answer when asked for an explanation.
According to him, Rana has been dismissed from the post by the decision of the village municipality on Poush-23. The education branch of the village municipality had monitored the school on the basis of complaints received from parents and school management committee officials.
He was asked for an explanation after he was found absent from school due to a lockdown by the Nepal government due Corona virus (Covid 19) epidemic.
Bidari said that it was decided to remove him from the post as there was no clear answer on the question, why he had to take leave? The village municipality has directed the school management committee to take action against the principal Rana as per Clause ‘C’ of sub-section 5 of section 16 (e) of the Education Act 2028, 138 of paragraph section 23 of the Education Rules 2059 and clause ‘b’ of sub-section 2 of section 35 of paragraph 5 of local education act 2074.
Earlier, the Bagmati Municipality had taken action against Pawan Mishra, a relief teacher of Geeta Basic School, two years ago.
