Mayor Mahat’s commitment not to allow foreign investment

Makawanpur. Mayor of Hetauda Sub-metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat has expressed commitment not to allow foreign investment in the agricultural sector of the sub-metropolitan area.

Inaugurating the 14th general assembly and 4th special convention of the Makawanpur Poultry Traders Association today, he expressed his commitment.

He said that he was also raising chickens in his house, adding that the local government would work by giving priority to farmers.

The local government expressed its commitment to provide land for the Poultry Traders Association of Makawanpur.

Rs. 51,100 has been transferred for the Senior Journalist Pension Fund established by the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur. President of the Association Raju Adhikari and Prof. Mayor Mahat handed over the check to Hari Humagai, President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur.

The association handed over a letter of commendation to Girija Adhikari, editor of Tu Khabar.com, as a senior journalist, along with Rs 11,111 in cash, while Subash Bidari, correspondent of Kantipur Daily Makawanpur and Suresh Shrestha, editor of Samridh Samaj Daily were also honored with Rs 11,111 in cash.

The program was chaired by Raju Adhikari, president of the association. Shiva Ram KC, president of the Nepal Egg Producers ‘Association, Hari Humagain, president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur, Purna Dhwaj Khadka, outgoing president of the Poultry Entrepreneurs’ Association and Hem Adhikari, poultry trader expressed their views at the program.
