‘Now women should get 50 percent rights, not 33’
Makawanpur: – Bagmati Chief Bishnu Prasad Prasai has said that women will not get their rights if they do not raise their voice.
He made the remarks while addressing a state-level and national level discussion on the issue of single women and affected women in Hetauda, also he added that in the past, when women tried to move forward, there was a mentality that women were left behind, but today, as the society is changing, women have got 33 percent rights. “Now women should get 50 percent rights, not 33 percent,” she said.
Stating that women should never feel inferior, he said, “Women have the status of being president, so they should not feel inferior.”
Acting Chairperson of the National Inclusion Commission Bishnu Ojha, Nepali Congress Central Member Mahalakshmi Dina Upadhyaya, Senior Superintendent of Police Mira Chaudhary of Bagmati State Police Office Hetauda, Deputy Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Mina Kumari Lama and others expressed their views at the program.
