Makawanpur: – A total of 131 people have joined the Nepali Congress, including Devnarayan Lamichhane, central treasurer of the local body of the Nepal National Employees ‘Organization and Makawanpur president of the Nepal National Employees’ Organization.

As many as 130 people, including Lamichhane, have joined the Nepali Congress (NC) in a joint program organized by Makawanpurgadhi Gaupalika ward No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Samarikhola on Saturday.

The program was chaired by Vijay Thokar, Vice-Chairman of Makawanpurgadhi Gaupalika No. 3 in the presidency of Mahalakshmi Upadhyaya Dina, Central Member of Nepali Congress and former Minister of State for Water Resources.

Speaking on the occasion, Central Member Dina said that the parliament was dissolved by neglecting the constitution brought by the people after 70 years of hard struggle as well as she added that the Congress has always been fighting for the people and nationalism.

She also reminded that the people wanted to save the country from this crisis by taking the hypocritical communists to the streets and handing over power again under the leadership of the Congress.

Acting President of NC Makawanpur Bishnu Prasad Lamichhane, Secretary Buddha Lama, Treasurer Gopilal Bishwakarma, District Member and Head of Organization Department Krishna Prasad Sanjel, District Member Dorje Lama Syangtan and President of the 1st House of Representatives Damodar Khanal, Chairman of the House of Representatives Yatiraj Sapkota, Hetauda Deputy Metropolitan President Anandaram Parajuli, Makawanpur Gadhi Village Municipality President Rajbir Moktan, newcomer Devnarayan Lamichhane, Gadhi Village Youth Leader Sanukancha Thingal and others expressed their views.

Comedian Shiva Shankar Rijal Joginder and folk singer Pratima Aryal entertained the activists with songs and comedy.
