Final Preparation of Bakaiya to be declared Child Friendly
Makawanpur: – A representative including the vice-chairperson of the rural municipality, which is in the final stage of declaring a child-friendly village municipality under the Child Friendly Local Governance Campaign, has been monitoring in Ward No. 1, Dhiyal.
A team comprising village municipality vice-chairperson Sarala Bolakhe, village social development branch chief and program focal person Fatikaraman Pyakurel, women’s branch chief Kavita Bhatt, education resource teacher Narayan Chapagain and Federation of Nepali Journalists Makawanpur joint secretary Dharmendra Dahal monitored and inspected.
The municipality has been campaigning for the last three years and is preparing to be declared the municipality as child-friendly municipality within the next month, said Bolakhe.
He said that child labor has been reduced in the village as well as child marriage has also been stopped and children’s education and health have improved a lot after we started our campaign.
Focal person Phatikarman Pyakurel said that they are engaged in the campaign to make Bakaiya a model village municipality by declaring it a force-friendly municipality soon.
