Makawanpur: – When the news of the resignation of Manahari village vice-chairperson Manila Bisht from the post of vice-chairperson came in TuKhabar (other media), the news was refuted saying that there was no truth in it. Vice-Chairman Bista, Chairman Ekraj Upreti and the entire village executive said that there was no truth in the news of the resignation of Vice-Chairman Bista.

Abuse of journalists on social media began to increase. After submitting her resignation to the president, Vice President Bista turned off her mobile phone. And, while writing the status on Facebook, she suggested taking feedback from the concerned person before writing the news. The rural municipality did not get silent.

Chairman Ekraj Upreti reacted by saying that he did not know about the resignation of the vice-chairman and held a meeting of the executive committee and issued a statement saying that there was no truth in the news about the village municipality. Journalists who wrote the news of Vice President Bista’s resignation started raining insults. However, the media did not change that. Because Bista’s resignation was 100 percent true. Upreti and Bista had only hid the news which was as clear as the sun.

Clarity over news

Chairman Upreti has registered resignation on Friday. By registering her resignation, the nameplate of the vice-chairman has been removed from the village municipality and the facilities provided to her as the vice-chairman have also been taken away. In the meantime, the statement issued by the village municipality through the chairperson became like playing game. If it had to be accepted one day, why did the Chairperson hide all these information, we will come to know as time passes.

Bista had resigned from the post on the 29th of last month. She might have been forced to resign. However, after her resignation, she did not hesitate to refuse the news. The vice president’s public statement should not have come saying that the journalist should write the news with only after feedback of concern one. The vice president even accused Bista of spreading rumors of her resignation.
