Complaint boxes are to be expanded
Makawanpur: – In order to make the service flow provided by the police to the people more effective, the Bagmati State Police Office has started a plan to expand the police complaint boxes at various local levels.
Earlier, the complaint box, which was limited to 28 local levels in 10 districts of the state, is now being prepared in all other municipalities of the state. In three phases, police complaint boxes will be kept at all local levels in the state.
According to Basant Kumar Lama, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bagmati State Police Office, and the suggestion box is being expanded as it has helped in strengthening the police organization.
Although the complaint box has been kept in the police office for years, there is no complaint of wrongdoing of the police, so now the complaint box has been kept in the local body for the general public, the state police office has concluded. The complaint box kept at the local level should be sealed on the 1st of every month by the representative of the concerned level and the locals and the representative of the nearest police unit and send it to the State Police Office. It is stated that the State Police Office is investigating and taking action on the complaint.
The Bagmati State Police Office has been keeping complaint boxes at various local levels to make the services provided by the police to the citizens more effective. Deputy Inspector General of Police Lama informed that the necessary suggestions received in the complaint box will be taken forward immediately.
In the first phase, complaint boxes were kept in 25 municipalities including Bharatpur metropolis and Hetauda sub-metropolis and one village in the district headquarters. Now, in the second phase, 70 village complaints and suggestions collection boxes will be kept, while in the third phase, the complaint box is planned to be expanded to ward offices as required.
Recipients seeking services at the local level will also be able to lodge complaints and suggestions with the police about their actions. Suggestions and complaints will remain confidential.
The Bagmati Provincial Police Office, Hetauda, has been carrying out various works at the local level to improve the complaints and working against wrongdoing in the State.
