Makawanpur: – An agreement has been signed between the Botanical Research Center in Makawanpur district and a community school for further study.

Between the Center and Janapriya Secondary School, Hetauda-16 for the ‘OJT’ (On the Job) of the students studying in the school.

As per the agreement, the work plant will be provided by the Vegetation Research Center for on-the-job training on crop science subjects at secondary level for a period of six months.

As per the agreement, students will be able to do OJT. There will be opportunities for learning in areas such as Nursery and Plant production, Flower Planting and Maintenance, Nursery Preparation and Fruit plant Production, Herbal Nursery, Botanical Garden Management and Botanical Conservation.

The agreement was signed between the Raghuram Parajuli, Botanical Research Center and Principal of School Namaraj Aryal.

Among the various objectives of the botanical garden, the educational objective is also important, said Parajuli, head of the office of the botanical research center. He said that the opportunity was given to the students so that they would not be deprived of the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge about botany as requested by the school.

On this occasion, a supervisor will be appointed from the Botanical Research Center and the students will take practical lessons under the supervision of the supervisor. According to the evaluation form provided by the school, the student should be evaluated by the supervisor. Students will not be allowed to perform prohibited activities inside the botanical garden and a contact person will be appointed from the school to facilitate the student’s practical learning.
