Makawanpur: – Leader Baniya of the main opposition party in Bagmati State, Indra Bahadur Baniya stated Oli’s recommendation to dissolve parliament as a game of democracy.

It was stated by Baniya, after Prime Minister KP Oli presented recommendation for dissolution of House of representative with the president Bidhya Devi Bhandari in an emergency meeting held on Sunday called by Oli. Baniya spoke to Tukhabr that Democracy, rule of law, permanent government is the expectation of the people and Oli has attacked on the expectation by recommending for dissolution.

Explaining that the constitutional envisages that the parliament would last for five years, Baniya said that the step taken by Prime Minister was against the existing constitution of Nepal. According to him, Oli has shown a very undemocratic character in running the government according to the people’s demand by institutionalizing the republic.

According to Baniya, the NC is committed to fight for the republic and law. Recalling that the Congress had staged nationwide protests against Oli’s totalitarian character was further proved now. ” The Nepali Congress had launched a massive protest against the character of the Oli government previously and that has been further proved today”, Baniya said adding NC will go into a fierce struggle against this unconstitutional step of PM.
