1.25 Crore fine to crusher industrialists
Makawanpur: – The Manahari Rural Municipality has decided to collect revenue by imposing fines on one and a half dozen crushers and sand processing industries in the municipality after finding that the amount of gravel stored was more than the stock certified.
A meeting of the village executive committee on Wednesday decided to collect fines as per the instructions of the District Coordination Committee, Makawanpur. As the revenue is collected at the rate of Rs 67.5 per cubic meter, the decision was taken to fine them after the businessmen agreed to pay the same amount as fine, said Chairman Ekraj Upreti.
The total fine for 182,000 cubic meters of gravel is One Crore 24 Lakhs 7 thousands and 400 ruppes. Also, the export tax will be added for same amount. After a long time, the meeting has decided to prepare DPR of Manahari Hospital and Start the contract process within a month.
Similarly, it has been decided to immediately form a commission at the Rural level and ward to expedite the process and operate a land desk in the Rural Municipality as per the procedure sent by the Land Problems Solving Commission for measuring the land distribution papers.
Also, it is decided to provide regular health service by providing manpower to the village clinic inaugurated by the municipality in ward no 6 of Manahari last month.
Chief Administrative Officer Devraj Chaulagain informed that the meeting drew attention to the news about the work of the Rural Municipality and Vice Chairperson Manila Bista urged not to be confused with the unauthorized news.
