Massive demonstration by NC against government in Hetauda
Makawanpur: – A protest against the government has been organized in Hetauda by NC Makawanpur. The main opposition Party Nepali Congress (NC) had organized protest in all 77 districts of the country, protesting against the government’s autocratic working style including corruption and irregularities.
During the protest organized by Nepali Congress Makawanpur, the protest started from Sano pokhara of Hetauda in east, the gate of Forestry in the south, Chowkitol in the north and Thana Bharyang in the west.
Addressing the gathering, Nepali Congress central president and former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba said that during the tenure of then PM Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, he had brought the maoist central leaders from the forest for talks and later transformed them into peace talks. He, who was also the chief guest of the program, made it clear that the NC was among the people to provide peace and security to the people.

Recalling that the Congress-led all the parties along with them for the establishment of republic in 2062/63, he raised question on the government saying PM Oli is only looking only for the interests of its own faction rather than the country and the people.
He said that the present government, instead of being accountable in treatment of covid-19 patients, would continue to support corruption in the interest of the party. He said,” PM KP Sharma Oli has promised in a public ceremony that he will not allow corruption, but there is no truth in practice.”
Similarly, addressing the function, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma said that the people had to take to the streets during the Corona epidemic while promoting government their group instead of being responsible elected representatives.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Central member Mahalaxmi Upadhayaya (Dina) said that the structure of the current constitution should not be changed, adding that the people have been affected by the factionalism of the CPN. She also urged the people to give an overwhelming majority to the Nepali Congress in the upcoming election.
Also, Indra Bahadur Baniya, leader of the main Opposition in the Bagmati State Assembly, expressed concern over the failure of the CPN government to deepen its relation with the neighboring countries. He said that the people are now disgusted with the party leaders and the government as the government has not been able to act responsibly toward the people.
