Vice Chairperson of ‘Manahari Gaupalika’ resigned
Makawanpur: – Manila Bista, Vice-chairperson of Mahari Gaupalika resigned from her post on Monday. She resigned complaining that she has been insulted by the staffs and chairperson for the last one and a half year during her tenure.
On the other hand, Gaupalika Chairperson Ekraj Upreti responded that she has not officially resigned yet but heard about the resignation of the Bista, also he added that he will not be able to speak officially.
Whereas source shows,” Employees have been dominating the vice chairperson for the last one and a half years. There is a big dispute between the chair person and vice-chairperson over budget allocation and implement of plans. That may be the reason of resignation”.
Phone switched off after submitting resignation
Bista’s phone was on till Monday morning. However, she has not been in phone contact since resigning and Phone provided by the administration for her use has been switched off.
Sources close to her claimed that she has submitted her resignation, however she has not mentioned anything about resignation anywhere.
Status on Social media Tuesday:-
The phone of vice-president Bista, who submitted her resignation on Monday, has been switched off till this news is prepared. But she posted a status on her social network Facebook on Tuesday morning.
She has urged the media personnel to disseminate news only after understanding and clearance. She Writes,” All media friends, while preparing news, please meet the concerned one and publish with understanding”.

The legal system
Article 215 of the Constitution of Nepal spells for the Chairperson and Vice-chairperson of the Gaupalika. Article 215, sub-section 8, provides details for the vacant of the posts of chairperson, vice-chairperson, Wada Chairperson and members. Where;
- It is mentioned that the post will become vacant if the chairperson submits his resignation to the vice-chairperson and Vice-chairperson to the chairperson in written,
- b) if the working tenure expires and
- In case of the death.
Article 215, Sub-section 9 states that if the working tenure of the Chairperson or Vice-chairperson remains for one or more than one year, Clauses 7 states that, In case of becoming post vacant, the vacant post will be fulfilled by sub-election for the remaining tenure.
