Training for addicted youths
Makawanpur. The Lions Club of Bhutan Devi Centennial has provided training of weaving quilt (Sirak) and mattress (Dasna) to the youths who are undergoing treatment for drug addiction at the ‘Siyaan Rehabilitation Center’ in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Wada No 9.
Governor Shambhu Nakarmi of Lions Club International 325 B2 said the training would help the youths to become professional by developing their skills and abilities.
He also urged the people to focus on production without worrying that the products would not find a market as the aim is to purchase the products and distribute them free of cost in the remote villages of Makawanpur.
Using new technology, old clothes have been managed to make circadian cloth from machine-made cotton.
It is said that 5 to 8 kg of cotton is required to make a quilt. Instructor Majrudhin Mia facilitated with a machine attached to the tractor to prepare the cotton. 25 youths are participated in the training.
