Second dose of Corona vaccine is being vaccinated from Baishakh-7

Kathmandu: – The second dose of vaccine against Covid-19 will be vaccinated from Baiskhakh-7. Those who have been vaccinated in the first phase in the district will be given the second dose from the 7th to the 11th.

According to the Health Office, Chitwan, in the first phase, the second dose will be given to the vaccinated health workers, sanitation workers, corpse management security personnel, employees, security personnel, people’s representatives, journalists, bank employees and local level employees. The number of people vaccinated at the first phase is 14,000.

Similarly, senior citizens above 65 years of age who have been vaccinated in the second phase will not be vaccinated in this phase. Office chief Deepak Tiwari informed that 27,000 people in the district have been vaccinated in the second phase. As there is not enough time for the second phase and the vaccine has not arrived, the second dose will be given after some time.

According to him, in the first phase, vaccination was given through five centers but in the second phase, the centers have been expanded. Arrangement has been made to vaccinate the health workers working in the big hospitals and medical colleges of the district from the same hospital. According to Tiwari, vaccination centers will be set up in all the seven municipalities of the district.

For the rest, a vaccination center has been set up at the Institutional Clinic at the Health Office, Chitwan. He said, “We have made arrangements so that we do not have to wait for a long time.”
