Meetings are being hold to run the parliament:  Chief Whip Pandey

Makawanpur: – Keshav Raj Pandey, chief whip of the ruling CPN-UML, said that works are being done to re-conduct the parliament of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly.

Talking to TuKhabar, Chief Whip Pandey said that discussions are being held with the main opposition parties and other opposition parties to reach necessary agreement regarding the conduct of the meeting.

Parliament sittings have been continuously adjourned after the main opposition party, the Maoist Center, blocked the parliament demanding an answer to Chief Minister Dormani Paudel on issues of national concern in order to cancel the process of buying of electric buses.

Stating that there was difficulty in running the parliament due to the obstruction of the opposition parties including the Maoist center, he said that they are busy of convening the state assembly meeting after holding discussions with the opposition parties.

He said that preparations are being made to pass a bill for the development of public road infrastructure in the state, which is yet to be passed after holding discussions in the state assembly in collaboration with the opposition parties.
