Makawanpur: – CPN-UML (Madhav faction) leader Ashtalakshmi Shakya has said that the party should move forward by strengthening it.
Speaking at a meeting of the CPN-UML parliamentary party in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Shakya expressed his words at the meeting.
She said that she had withdrawn the no-confidence motion filed against Chief Minister Paudel in the parliament to unite the CPN-UML as she is in favor of unity and added that the current Communist Party needed a leadership that can unite all by abandoning the politics of prohibition.
She claimed that anyone who rejected the principles, ideas, methods and practices of the Communist Party could not be a Communist Party worker.
At the meeting, she expressed the view that the government has not been able to work in the public interest even though the people have given a majority to the CPN-UML.
She said that both the Communist Movement and Communist party were in crisis as the CPN-UML was engaged in infighting and the current Communist Party-led government has not been able to do anything for the welfare of the people. So, she had suggested to change the path.
