Makawanpur: –In the inaugural match of the local level Martyrs’ Memorial Gold Cup International Football Tournament today, the organizing team District Football Association Makawanpur’s Regal Hetauda Resort Makwanpur-11 made a winning start.
Makwanpur-11 started it’s victor by defeating Nawajagriti Youth Club Simara by 4-1 goals in a match played at the Forest Science Study Institute (Forestry) Sports Ground at Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 10 on Thursday.
Taking advantage of the home field, Makawanpur-11 managed to score 4 goals against Simara. Both teams played 1-1 in the first half time.
Bimal Rana of Makawanpur-11 had led the group toward victory by scoring 1 goal against Simara in the first 28 minutes whereas Mohit Gurung equalized for Simara shortly after taking the lead. He scored the first goal for Simara against Makawanpur in the 32nd minute.
Similarly, at the beginning of the second half, Makawanpur-11, Rajan Bista scored a goal against samara in 66th minutes creating pressure on Simara where, Amir Shrestha also scored a goal against samara in the 77th minutes of the match.

In the competition, Rana, who scored two goals, was declared as the Man of the Match.
And with this victory, Regal Hetauda Resort Makawanpur-11 has entered in the semi finals of the Competition.
