Makawanpur: – Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Rishi Kattel has said that he would welcome Prachanda and KP Oli to join his party.

Reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision, he said that the door is open for Prachanda and KP Oli to join the party.

The party led by Rishi Kattel had already registered in the Election Commission as the Communist Party of Nepal.

After the unification of the then CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist at the Center on Jestha-3 of 2075 BS, the name of the party was also submitted to the Election Commission under the name of Communist Party of Nepal.

The party headed by KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal was authorized by the Election Commission but later Kattel had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court alleging that he was allowed to register another party with a name similar to Communist Party of Nepal.

And so, the court has rejected the decision of the Election Commission to name the party led by KP Sharma Oli and Prachanda as Communist Party of Nepal(CPN).
