Makawanpur: – Sixty people of Raksirang village municipality of Makawanpur have obtained citizenship on single day. Raj Kumar Malla, chairman of the village municipality, informed that 60 locals of Damrang, Garling and Dhirang villages have obtained citizenship on a single day.

According to Chairman Malla, only 55 of those who have obtained citizenship today belong to the Chepang community while the rest are from Tamang and Sunar.

Those citizens from remote areas had to walk for about 6 hours to reach Hetauda, ​​the capital of Bagmati province for the citizenship.

They were brought to Hetauda with the financial support of village councils, toll development organizations and local people’s representatives, said Malla and food were also managed for the people who had come to get citizenship.

As the recommendation of the local ward was needed, the chairman of ward no. 7 Kul Bahadur Praja was present at the district administration office himself with the necessary documents for the convenient of the people.
