112 industries operating in ‘Hetauda Industrial Area’
Makawanpur: – In the Bagmati State, including 6 new industries all together there are currently 112 industries running in the Hetauda Industrial Area, informed Administrative Officer of the Industrial Area, Rajendra Shrestha.
According to Administrative Officer Shrestha, there are currently 6 construction materials industries, 28 plastic materials industries, 3 electrics and electrical goods industries, 15 food and beverage industries, 10 furniture and wood sawing industries and 14 engineering service industries in the industrial area. 4 Packaging Goods Industry, Chemical Materials / Painting Industry-10, Poultry and Grain Industry -2, Textiles Industry -1, Mining Industry- 3, Other Industries (Cigarette, Fuel Depot, Bone Processing, Tire Resoling, Raging)-10 and all together there are 112 new and expanded industrial zones in operation.
In addition, 13 offices including the government-owned Hetauda Dairy Development Project, Regional Food Quality Control Office, Area Police Office, Nepal Bank Limited and various organizations have been established in the industrial area to provide services to the consumers.
Manager of Hetauda Industrial Area Rajendra Prasad Kandel informed that the managers of 11 new industries in the industrial area have already reached an agreement with the management of the industrial area as per the demand for land required for the operation of the industry.
The Hetauda Industrial Area has stated that the three old industries established in the industrial area have been closed for several years due to lack of economic crisis.
It has been stated that 14,500 people have got employment opportunities directly / indirectly in various industries operating in the Hetauda Industrial Area announced by the then government of His Majesty the King on 20 Mangsir of 2020 BS.
