Makawanpur: – Speaker of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Sanukumar Shrestha has said that he has not postponed the seventh session of the provincial assembly due to the no-confidence motion registered against Chief Minister Dormani Paudel.

Speaking to reporters at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat today, Speaker Shrestha said that he had to postpone the meeting of the Provincial Assembly repeatedly as he could not go to the polls due to non-submission of the report by Draft Committee.

Shrestha said that the Nepali Congress, the main opposition party in the state assembly had not submitted their official statement and had had asked for time.  So he had to postpone the meeting.

Stating that he is not a cadre of any party and is independent, she said that the situation came due to lack of consensus, cooperation and unity among the parties.
