Makawanpur:  The vaccine against corona virus (Covid-19) has been made available to government employees and local people’s representatives from today.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, employees of all government offices in the district, employees of public institutions and banks, journalists and local elected representatives will be vaccinated from Phalgun-2 to 8.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, those who are in the first priority but have not been vaccinated will also be vaccinated at this stage.

The government first provided vaccinations to health workers, security personnel, health volunteers, ambulance and hearse drivers, and border security personnel.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has designated vaccination centers in 12 hospitals in Kathmandu. Veer Hospital, Civil Hospital Minbhavan, Teku Hospital, Trivi Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, Maternity Home Thapathali, National Ayurveda Research and Training Center Kirtipur, Armed Police Hospital Balambu, Virendra Sainik Hospital Cantonment, Nepal Police Hospital Lazimpat, Shaheed Ganga Lal Hospital Bansbari, Nepal Medical College Vaccination centers have been set up at Attarkhel Jorpati and Kathmandu Medical College Sinamangal. The ministry has stated that one should take the identity card of his office with him when going for vaccination.

The government of Nepal had started the vaccination campaign against corona on Magh-14. Covishield vaccine has been introduced against corona in Nepal.
