Jhapa: – The school has been dragged into controversy after the death of a child studying in a school in Jhapa. Police have started investigation on the suspicion that the boy died due to the beating of the teacher. Krishna Prasad Rajbanshi, 10, of Champapur Secondary School in Kankai Municipality-6 died on Thursday while undergoing treatment. He was studying in class 4.
After Rajbanshi’s death, police have arrested Rabin Magar, who was working as an office assistant. When student Rajbanshi couldn’t give the answer asked by Magar, he was beaten by the teacher on Magh-28.
After the student’s ear became swollen due to the beating of the teacher, the local Kamesh Medical was immediately taken for treatment. He was sent home after normal medical treatment. When he got home, the boy did not tell his parents that he had been beaten by the teacher. However, when the ears became more and more numb at home, the relatives inquired with the boy’s friend that he might have been bitten by an wasp. After that, a friend of Rajbanshi told him that this had happened
The boy was rushed to Birta City Hospital for further treatment. However, a teacher at the school informed that B&C was sent to the hospital as treatment was not possible there either.
He was sent to Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar on Thursday saying that treatment was not possible there either. However, the student died after being rushed to the hospital for treatment. This news is in today’s Annapurna Daily Post.
