Acceleration in construction of ‘Raj Kulo’ and ‘Dhungedhara’

Makawanpur: – Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development of Bagmati Rameshwar Phuyal said that the state government has expedited the reconstruction work of 24 ‘Rajkulo’ and 11 ‘Dhungedhara’ in different districts of the state within this fiscal year.

He mentioned that the multi-year plan will be implemented in 13 districts of the state and the state government has started a campaign to operate electric buses by displacing fuel-powered vehicles in the cities of different districts of Bagmati state by Baiskhakh of 2085 BS.

It has been informed that the government has already signed an agreement with the local bodies, the state government, city development fund and Nepal Electricity Authority in the construction of charging stations for electric buses and light vehicles in different cities of Bagmati. He said that the work of setting up charging stations on Tribhuvan Highway, Kathmandu-Naubise road section and Muglan-Narayangadh road section including Kathmandu Valley would be completed within a few months and the survey work would be completed by technicians.

Similarly, the project is being implemented with the aim of displacing every thatched house of poor families in remote areas of different districts of the state and distributing one house and one tap. He clarified that the government has reached the final stage of inviting bids for the construction of Post Bahadur Bogati-Bhimfedi-Kulekhani tunnel and the old tunnel at Churiyamai with the objective of promoting integrated heritage development.

Work is being carried to upgrade Balkhu of Kathmandu, Sisneri, Kulekhani, Bhimfedi and Bhainse road sections of Kathmandu under the People’s Leader Madan Bhandari Marg. He informed that blacktop road slope and embankment are being constructed on the road. He also mentioned that the work is being done in 66 constituencies of 13 districts of the state by allocating budget for the project of national non-profit, protection of integrated heritage, construction of health posts, drinking water and river control, informed Phuyal.

The transporation, Infrastructure Bill 2077 has already been registered in the Bagmati State Assembly and the bill is being discussed in the Working Committee a few days ago.
