Six fugitive defendants of Makawanpur have been arrested

Makawanpur: –  Makawanpur police have arrested six absconding defendants in various cases. Among the arrested are former district Makawanpur Budhichaur VDC. Devlal Rumba, 73, of Makawanpurgadhi Gaupalika-8, Bhoj Bahadur Praja, 48, of Chepang Myla, Manahari Gaupalika-9, Ram Singh Lopchan, 43, of Manahari Gaupalika-6 and Kanchha, 32, of Manahari-6 The deceased have been identified as Chhiring Moktan, 29, of Manahari-6, Tamang and Pratap Singh, 38, of Manahari-6.

Devlal Rumba, a fugitive defendants sentenced to 21 years and 6 months imprisonment in a ‘Life sentence case’ by the District Court of Makawanpur on 16 Shrawan of 2056, was arrested by the Police from Makawanpurgadhi-8 on Monday.

Similarly, Bhoj Bahadur Praja, a fugitive defendant sentenced to 10 months imprisonment in a drug case by the judgment of the District Court, Makawanpur, has been arrested from Manahari-8 on Monday.

Police on Monday arrested absconding defendants Ram Singh Lopchan and Raj Kumar Tamang, Chhiring Moktan and Pratap Singh Jimba, who are yet to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 in a forest case.

According to the Makwanpur Police, all the arrested accuseds are being produced in the district court in Makawanpur for imprisonment and payment of fines.
