Makawanpur: – Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam is set to formally announce the party unity national campaign. After the dissolution of the House of Representatives by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the CPN (Maoist) is splitting into two factions.

Gautama’s press coordinator Bishwamani Subedi has informed that the CPN-Unity National Campaign will be announced at Siddhartha Cottage in Dhobighat of Lalitpur.

CPN presidents KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have been invited to the program. However, it is not certain whether Oli and Prachanda will present or not.

The CPN is divided into two factions after the dissolution of the parliament on Poush-5. One faction is led by Prime Minister Oli and the other by Prachanda and Madhav Nepal. Both sides have been taking action against each other’s leaders, reorganizing the organization and holding nationwide rallies.

Vice President Gautam has so far appeared neutral. Gautam has been running the CPN-unity National Campaign saying that a large number of party cadres are still in favor of the CPN not to split.
