Orange can’t be eaten planting Dhaturo: KC
Makawanpur. Nepali Congress central member Arjun Narasimha KC has said that the communist government has nakedly interfered in democracy and now the Congress is ready to pay any price against it.
Speaking at a protest rally against the government in Hetauda of Makawanpur Constituency No. 1 (b), KC said that the party would not be afraid to go for a fresh mandate but would not tolerate any direct interference against the constitution.
‘Oranges cannot be eaten by planting Daturo. An example has been presented that democracy cannot survive by planting communist plants. The government that got such a majority is now being ridiculed” KC said. Millions of people are suffering from hunger, unemployment and Inflation’.Stating that democratic governance cannot flourish with the idea of autocracy, KC said that the Congress was ready to take any step against corruption and arbitrariness. “Congress is not just a Congress party. It is the vehicle of change in Nepal. If necessary, the Nepali Congress is not afraid to go for a fresh mandate. However, they are engrossed in the movement saying that democracy will not survive nakedly by violating the basic law of the country,” He said.
Recalling that Jung Bahadur had staged a Kot Parva on Bhadra 1, 1903 in the name of Maharani Rajyalakshmi, KC accused the King of abusing a provision of the constitution in 2017 BS and dissolving the parliament as the Oli government is now on the same journey. “If the parliament, which cannot hold elections now, cannot be re-established, it will plunge the country into a tunnel of great darkness. Many kinds of right-wing to left-wing extremists will be salvaged. A state of chaos and confusion may be created in the country. The Nepali Congress has the strength to control and lead such a situation and move forward by uniting all,”said KC.
According to KC, corruption has spread in the villages instead of the federalism brought with the idea of bringing Singh Durbar to the villages. He said that the data of Transparency International has already shown this. ‘In one year, about 2,100 people have died of malnutrition. More than 1,900 pregnant women have died in hospital without a bed. Those who went to seek justice for Nirmala Pant have been arrested in Dhangadhi,” said KC. The Congress has to make another movement to save it from tyranny. ‘
Speaking on the occasion, Nepali Congress Bagmati Pradesh Parliamentary Party Leader and Makawanpur President Indra Bahadur Baniya said that the constitution of Nepal did not give any majority party the right to dissolve the parliament. If the election is not held in Baishakh, the parliament will be reconstituted automatically. ‘The Nepali Congress does not put any pressure on the independent judiciary. Let the judiciary work independently. We have come to the streets to urge the people not to go for what is not envisaged by the constitution,” said Baniya.
Nepali Congress Makawanpur Constituency No. 1 ‘B’ President Taranath Chaulagai presided over the function. Hetauda Deputy Metropolitan President Anandaram Parajuli, President of Nepal Women’s Association Makwanpur Laxmi Shrestha, President of Tamang Association Makwanpur Chamfuratna Lama and others expressed their views. The protest rally in front of Hetauda’s Fareshti Gate reached Buddhachowk and turned into a ‘KONSAVA’.
