Local level Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs Belong to which faction?
Makawanpur: – After the dissolution of the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister KP Oli, its impact on the divided Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has become visible from the bottom to up. At the district level, the party leaders are divided into two groups and have started holding separate meetings. Leaders, on the other hand, have been active in creating an environment for their groups.
The CPN has divided all the 10 local governments in Makawanpur. The impact of the faction has been seen in 8 Municipality and 2 Nagar. Out of 10 local levels, Nepali Congress is leading in 2 local levels while CPN is leading in the remaining 8 municipalities.
Raj Kumar Malla, chairperson of Raksirang village municipality of Makawanpur, Nirmala Himdung, vice-chairperson, Damodar Khanal, chairperson of Bakaiya village municipality and Khadga Gopali, deputy mayor of Thaha Nagar, there are chiefs and deputy chiefs elected from former CPN and former Maoists at all 10 local levels.
Deputy Chief of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Meena Lama, Chief of Thaha Municipality Labsher Bista, Chairman of Bagmati Village Municipality Sarkesh Ghalan, Chairman of Kailash Village Municipality Tank Moktan and Chairman of Indra Sarovar Village Municipality Jeevan Lama, Vice President Uma Kumari Lama are openly trying to create an atmosphere in favor of Prachanda-Madhav faction.
Similarly, Bhimphedi Village Municipality Chairperson Heedam Lama, Vice Chairperson Parvati Rana and Bakaiya Village Municipality Chairperson Sarala Bolakhe are in favor of Oli faction.
Dhanamaya Syangtan, vice-chairman of Bagmati village municipality, Sukumaya Thing, vice-chairman of Kailash village municipality, Ekraj Upreti, chairman of Manahari village municipality, Manila Bista, vice-chairman and Bidur Humagain, chairman of Gadhi village municipality and Harkamaya Rumba, vice-chairman have not openly supported or opposed either Oli or Prachanda-Madhav faction.
Hetauda Sub-metropolis Mayor belongs to which faction?
Mayor of Hetauda Sub-metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat has been saying that the move to dissolve the House of Representatives is unconstitutional. He had participated in the CPN meeting of Prachanda-Madhav faction on December 20. However, Mayor Mahat was not seen at the group’s cadre training program on Sunday. According to a CPN source, Mayor Mahat said that the Prime Minister’s move was unconstitutional and undemocratic but did not want to identify himself as Oli or Prachanda faction.
DCC Chief and Deputy Chief which faction?
Chief of the District Coordination Committee Raghunath Khulal is known as the leader of the Oli centered party. Even after the dissolution of the House of Representatives, he remained in the Oli faction, which led to him becoming a central member of the Oli-led CPN. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Bhagwati Pudasaini is in the CPN led by Prachanda Madhav. She appeared on the stage at a training program organized by the CPN led by Prachanda Madhav Nepal on Sunday.
