Demand for practical policy in riverine excavation and management
Makawanpur. The Bagmati State Committee of the District Coordination Committee ( DCC) has stated that there is a problem in the excavation and management of riverine material due to impractical standards.
Organizing press conference and public programs in all the 19 Districts Coordinating Committee of the Province on Thursday, the provincial committee said that the criteria issued by the Government of Nepal and the circular issued by the Home Ministry Affairs have created problems in development and lost of revenue at the local levels.
Raghunath Khulal, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Makawanpur, who is also the Chairperson of the District Coordination Committee, Bagmati State, said that the situation has been made chaotic due to the criteria issued by the Nepal Government and the circular issued by the Home Ministry. By holding a press conference, DCC has made the work public done so far and the problems encountered through a press release.
He strongly disagreed with the federal government action under various pretexts of making everyone look bad and prohibiting them, disregarding the rules and creating chaos and making it difficult to reorganize, and demanded that all such obstruction should be immediately removed.
In a press release, he has strongly demanded to amend the sub-section 10 of the criteria issued by the government of Nepal and the separate circulars issued by the Ministry of Home affairs on Kartik-25, 27 and 2 of 2077 BS and to formulate practical policies and procedures and to implement.
The press conference was attended by Bhagwati Pudasaini, Deputy Chief of District Coordination Committee, Makawanpur and local level chiefs and deputy chiefs of Makawanpur.
