Kathmandu. Senior leader of the main opposition Party Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Paudel has informed that the pain in his body is heating up.

Paudel was on his way to inaugurate the bridge on Wednesday when Tanahau Police arrested him and released him 3 hours later.

” My ribs, hurt from the police baton, hurt more in the evening than yesterday afternoon,” said Paudel. ” It’s more painful than yesterday.” He also mentioned that he has not been able to get rid of the police force even in the republic.

“Even in a republic achieved through 7 decades of tireless efforts, we have not been able to get rid of the police force,” he said. “When will real democracy come true? That’s my concern.”

Police had arrested Paudel for violating the curfew while he was going to inaugurate the bridge over Buldi River connecting Wada No.1,10 and 11  of Byas Municipality of his home district Tanahu on Wednesday.

Paudel said that the bridge will be inaugurated after 11 am today. The CPN(Maoist) is protesting saying that the inauguration of the bridge should be done by the CPN leader.
