Prachanda-Baburam trying to bridge the gap

Makawanpur: – While various exercises and efforts are being made for the new power in the government. It has been revealed that the Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has called the Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and hold meeting with Dr. Baburam Bhattarai several times. It is clear that Dahal is trying to rekindle his old relationship with Bhattarai. Even though they are in different parties now, these two leaders are in the top position.
The Dahal-Bhattarai relationship is very old. They stayed in the same place for 10 years during the People’s War. After the Maoists entered the peace process, they could not stay together for long. After the political confrontation started, there was a rift in their relationship. After that, Bhattarai left the then Maoist party and started another party called Naya Shakti. Shortly afterwards, he merged his party with the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum.
The bitterness that arose between Dahal and Bhattarai while living in the then Maoists persisted for a long time. Lately, Dahal has been active in trying to bridge the broken relationship with Bhattarai in the past. According to Bhattarai’s aide Roshan Pokharel, Dahal and Bhattarai have met three times in a month and a half. There is news in today’s ‘Nagarik Dainik’.
