Makawanpur: – A seminar on Democracy Day and current context has been organized by ‘BP Bichar Samaj Makawanpur’ in Hetauda on Friday.
Chairman of the society Binod Chandra Koirala presided over the seminar and Nepali Congress Bagmati Pradesh parliamentary party leader and Makawanpur party president Indra Bahadur Baniya was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Baniya said that the time has come for the Nepali Congress, which has struggled for democracy for a long time, to fight for full democracy again.
Reminding that the Congress has played an important role to bring democracy and republic, Baniya said that now is the time to fight against the communists as the communists are threatening the democratic republic. He also clarified that the re-establishment of the House of Representatives is the first agenda of the party as it is a party that believes in the rule of law.

Coordinator Sudip Bartaula, Nepal Human Rights Organization Apsara Basnet, former president of Nepal Trade Union Congress Makawanpur Arjun Shrestha, president of Nepal Press Union Makawanpur Kumar Adhikari Posta Raj and vice president of the society Pradip Koirala had expressed their views on the occasion.
