Agricultural equipment distribution in ‘Bakaiya’
Makawanpur. Women’s Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation Group Nepal has handed over 10 hand tractors, 6 pesticides sprayers, a paddy cutting machine and a mushroom making machine to the Bakaiya village municipalities.
The Women’s Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation Group Nepal has handed over agricultural equipment to the Bakaiya Gaupalika with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program and Bakaiya Gaupalika. Handing over the machines, Indra Neupane, Chairperson of the group, said that equipment has been provided to increase production by modernizing agriculture sector.
Similarly, Dhan Bahadur Chanda, Field Officer of the UNDP, said that equipment has been distributed to help in economic development by making people self-employed through modernization in agriculture as per the policy put forward by the government.
Village Municipality Chairman Damodar Khanal said that the poverty Alleviation Group has made a great contribution by supporting the work being done by the government. Vice- Chairperson Sarala Bolakhe and Chief Administrative Officer Laxman Pudasaini were also present on the occasion.
