Sigdel as Chairman and Pulami as secretary of Prachanda-Madhav faction
Makawanpur: – Munu Sigdel has been elected as the chairman and Prem Bahadur Pulami as the secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal-CPN-Prachanda-Madhav faction. Even before this, Sigdel and Pulami were the president and secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Makawanpur, respectively. After the CPN became politically divided, the Prachanda-Madhav faction and the KP Oli faction have been selecting separate leaderships.
The CPN chairperson and secretary have been given the responsibility to lead the Prachanda-Madhav faction in Makawanpur. Both Sigdel and Pulami are members of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. The KP Oli faction has elected Eklal Shrestha as the chairman of Makawanpur.
The Prachanda-Madhav faction has selected the leadership of 68 districts including Makwanpur. According to division of leadership, former UML supporters are leading in 33 districts and former Maoist supporters in 35 districts.
