Custody Escaped Pandey Rearrested
Makwanpur. The police have rearrested an accused of escaping from the custody of the District Police Office Makwanpur. Police arrested Milan Pandey, 27, dweller of Gongabu Ganeshsthan, Tokha Municipality-9, Kathmandu (the then Gongabu VDC No. 6)
Pandey was arrested at around 9.00 pm on 5 November, 2011at Ratomate Check Post, Hetauda. Police arrested Pandey while he was travelling from Birgunj to Kathmandu by Na. 4 Kha 154 bus with intoxicants. According to police, after seizing Diazepam-140 ampul, Fenaragon-140 ampul and Norfin-140, Pandey was taken in custody for 75 days remand.
But Pandey was absconded on 19 January in the same year through the ventilation of the custody room at District Police Office, Makwanpur. Pandey has been rearrested by the District Police Office Makwanpur and Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajganj Kathmandu from Gongabu Baniyatar on 6 March, this year.
Police said further investigation is being carried out on him.
