Hetauda. Under the Government of Nepal’s Safe Citizen Housing Program, the roofs of 673 needy families in Makawanpur will be rebuilt. In Hetauda Sub-metropolis, Thaha Municipality, Manahari, Raksirang, Indrasarowar, Bhimphedi and Makawanpur Gadhi Village under constituency No. 2 of the district, thatched roofs will be replaced with tin roofs in 673 houses.

A meeting of the District Coordination Committee held in Makawanpur on Sunday has filtered the number of 673 beneficiaries under Constituency No.2. The program which was supposed to be implemented in the fiscal Year 2073-077 has not been implemented due to various reasons including the Corona virus epidemic, is being continued this year.

The meeting chaired by Birodh Khatiwada, Member of Parliament for Makawanpur Constituency No.2, One hundreds houses in Wada No. 1,3,11 and 19 of Hetauda Sub-metropolis area under Constituency No.2, 50 Houses in Bhimphedi Gaunpalika, 75 houses in Kailash Gaunpalika, 50 houses in Makawanpur Gadhi, One hundred Houses in Manhari, One hundred and 73 houses in Raksirang Gaupalika and 25 houses in Indrasarowar Gaupalika have been marked for the construction of Safe Civic Housing.

Under this program, only the Marginal, Poor and earthquake-affected families of the municipality will get this service. The meeting also discussed about the amendment of the Safe Citizen Housing program procedures and their relation.

As mentioned in the working procedure, the meeting decided to select the remaining beneficiaries in Kailash, Makawanpur Gadhi and Manahari Villages Municipality in the fiscal year 2076/077 and to issue notice of 15 days to select the approved number of beneficiaries and provide detail in the office.

The meeting was chaired by Birodh Khatiwada, Member of parliament for Makawanpur District Representative Assembly Constituency No.2 and Head of District Coordination Committee RaghunathKhulal, Heads of concerned Wada, Officer of District Coordination Committee AandarajPokharel were presented at the program.
