Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan city stopped to distribute free foods in the public saying that they were disgraced.

Some Campaign were providing free foods to the workers, laborers, poor and helpless people during tough condition due to Corona virus. But Metropolitan city sent police to stop the free distribution of foods.

Metropolitan police has requested to stop the free distribution of foods. Again on Monday, police came and stopped to distribute the free foods, informed one of the helper , Badri Prasad Dhungel.

He also informed that group of police in the leader of ASI stopped the distribution of free foods saying ‘it’s mayor order to stop the distribution’.

Metropolitan also accepted the statement regarding to stop the distribution of foods in the public place.

Spokesperson, Ishwar Dangol said-” It’s our joint thought to provide foods for the poor and un capable

person during the lockdown. It was also right from the point of Humanity as well as important. But now, it is quite crowd in the bus park. It is not suitable to provide foods in the dust and dirty nature, we requested to search for the alternative.”

Because of distributing foods on the road, it is disgrace of the Government. It is the logic of Metropolitan. Dangol said-‘ it is unsuitable. It made many of the people lazy. What message will flow and citizens also asked questions while distributing the foods in the open area. Addressing the questions of citizens, we decided to stop the distribution of foods.”

Metropolitan is running a program” KOHI VOKAI PARDAIN, KOHI VOKAI MARDAIN” and rescue are being done to the footpath people by the help of Hermitage and organizations, claimed the metropolitan.

” we have fed 10 thousand peoples during the lockdown. The people who are in troubles, helps are being distributed from the Wada offices. So that, it is not condition to die due to the starvation”.
