Kathmandu:-<\/strong> Divorce rates have risen sharply as women seek justice against family members. Most of the petitions filed in the district court are for divorce. 310 cases out of 820 cases filed in the court are cases of divorce.<\/p>\n

Out of these, 195 cases have been solved, the court said. District Judge Harish Chandra Ingam said that the number of divorce cases may have increased due to the awareness of family members to fight against injustice. “Even if there is a mismatch in the family, the practice of tolerating injustice seems to have gradually disappeared,” he said.<\/p>\n

The highest number of divorces is among the youths who have returned after going for foreign employment. He said that the men who returned after going for foreign employment wanted to break up with the women and the women with the men.
