Makawanpur: –<\/strong>Tribhuvan Army Football Club has clinched the title of the third edition of the local level Martyrs’ Memorial Gold Cup International Football Tournament in Hetauda.<\/p>\n

In the final match played on Saturday, the Army clinched the title by defeating the previous winner District Football Association Makawanpur’s Regal Hetauda Resort, Makawanpur-11 by 1-0.<\/p>\n

The only one goal of the match for the Army was scored by Team Captain Tek Bahadur Budhathoki of Jersey No. 27 which became decisive goal in the competition.<\/p>\n

Makawanpur-11, against which army had scored a goal in the first half, could not take advantage of the opportunity to score any goal in the game and was limited to the runners-up position.<\/p>\n

Captain Tek Bahadur of Army was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance in the competition. He has received Rs 10,000 in cash for his excellent performance.<\/p>\n

The winner of the competition, Army Club, received a shield, medal and certificate along with Rs 10 Lakhs and 15 thousand in cash.<\/p>\n

Makwanpur-11, the runner-up of the competition, received a shield, medal and certificate along with Rs 510,000 in cash.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Amir Shrestha of Jersey No. 7 of Makwaanpur-11 was declared the best player of the tournament (Most valuable player). The organizers had taken result through voting for the highest prize money category in Nepal and the winner of this title, Amir Shrestha had been awarded a Royal Enfield bike.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Bibash Chaudhary, Deepak Gurung, Sheshehang Aangdembe and Navin Neupane have bagged the titles of Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender and Best Midfielder and Best Coach respectively.<\/p>\n

Ranjan Bista of Makawanpur-11 was declared the Best Forward of the competition.<\/p>\n
